The wireless bridge signal is unstable? This solution will definitely work!

What's going on exactly?
The company has just taken on a new project. They installed multiple wireless bridges for the client. At first, the application experience was extremely good. However, in the recent few days, they noticed that the data signal was sometimes strong and sometimes weak, very unstable. The received signal level and signal-to-noise ratio were fluctuating up and down. After the company staff went to the site for inspection, they found that two skyscrapers had been built between the communication base station and the client station, and there were two large cranes on the roof. They were unsure if this was the cause of the unstable data signal from the wireless bridge. I think that during the process of the client using wireless network equipment such as wireless bridges at the construction site, the problem of weak data signal is very common.
Usually, when customers use wireless bridges, they merely focus on its coordination capabilities and convenience. They use the Wi-Fi network to transmit the statistics of the video surveillance system, thereby eliminating the need for a dedicated internet connection. But here's the question:
If it is found that the actual performance of the wireless bridge after installation is not satisfactory, with unstable data signals, or even no data signals at all,
What should we do? What caused this? Generally speaking, the main reasons and solutions usually consist of two key points:
01. Obstacle interference
As mentioned in the above example, the enterprise noticed that two skyscrapers had been built between the communication base station and the customer station, and there were two large cranes on the rooftops. This indicates a typical situation of electromagnetic interference caused by obstacles.
Sometimes, when setting up the wireless bridge equipment, the transmission point and the receiving point are in a wide and unobstructed natural environment. However, during the entire application process, due to certain new projects requiring it, some engineering buildings or equipment are created in the middle, blocking the transmission of the wireless bridge data signal. This causes the signal to weaken or be interrupted. At this time, the solution is to bypass such obstructions. Based on the installation location of the mobile bridge, the relay mode, and the removal of the obstructions, countermeasures are taken to improve the visibility and obstruction at the transmission point and the receiving point.
02. Angle deviation of wireless bridge
The wireless bridge operates in a point-to-point transmission mode. The signal can achieve the best condition only when the directional antenna is aligned with the angle. The greater the transmission distance, the higher the required angle accuracy.
If the bridge is not securely fixed during installation and is unstable, when encountering strong winds or other adverse weather conditions, the wireless antenna part of the wireless bridge may loosen, resulting in the inability to point the view and the natural damage to the data signal.
Therefore, during the entire installation process, people can first gently adjust the level to make the signal strength stronger in some areas, and then gradually adjust it in the desired direction. If the signal strength is weaker in some areas, it should be adjusted in the opposite direction. After the level angle is adjusted, then adjust the up-down, left-right angles. It is suggested that everyone must seek out professional manufacturers to carry out the construction and installation.
03. Interference from devices operating at the same frequency
The wireless bridge frequencies are divided into 2.4G wireless bridges and 5.8G wireless bridges. Just like all wireless communications, the Wi-Fi network is also subject to interference from other radio waves. The working frequency range of the IEEE 802.11b/g/n standard is 2.4GHz. During operation, there are many machine devices operating in this frequency range, such as the commonly seen wireless walkie-talkies, wireless phones, microwave ovens, mobile phone Bluetooth headphones and speakers, all of which are operating in the 2.4GHz frequency range. Therefore, the interference situation between them is very serious.
When there is a very strong electromagnetic field around, the Wi-Fi network will undoubtedly be affected. If the application environment of the customer's wireless bridge has many data signal interference problems, but there is no way to avoid or reduce the interference among other devices, it is recommended to choose a 5.8GHz frequency band bridge for the actual application scenario. The 5.8GHz frequency band is relatively completely free from interference.
04. Quality of Wireless Bridge
The quality of the wireless bridge is a fundamental and crucial issue! The hardware configuration of the wireless bridge equipment is poor. After being used for a period of time, its transmission function will significantly decrease. In more serious cases, there will be issues such as frequent disconnections and automatic restarts. There are sales markets where some stores exaggerate the performance of their wireless bridges for promotion purposes. Or they present transmission data under idealized circumstances to customers, but in actual use, it does not exceed the transmission distance or network bandwidth under idealized circumstances.
Dongguan Tuqian Technology has been dedicated to the product research and application in the field of wireless data transmission for over a decade. The wireless bridge is manufactured with military-grade quality, featuring strong anti-interference capabilities, high reliability, and is very easy to integrate into remote and extreme natural environments.
